Artificial sweeteners are equally or more harmful than sugar!?

Artificial sweeteners used in food products are hugely harmful to our body. Products with ‘No-Sugar’ label which contain artificial sweeteners do even more harm than sugar per say.

These not only cause greater risk of stroke, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease but also cancer.

A scientific study from the NutriNet-Sante shows eye opening results. The study on large group of 102,865 adults in France showed that consumers of artificial sweeteners had 13% increased risk of cancer.

Following are few common chemical compounds used as ‘Artificial Sweeteners’:

1] ASPERTAME a sweetener used in popular diet sodas has shown to cause MEMORY IMPAIRMENT. In body this compound is broken down into PHENYLALANINE, ASPARTIC ACID and METHANOL. Each of which has significant bad effect on health. All 3 of these cause memory reduction or cellular function damage.

2] AceK is also a commonly used artificial sweetener. It is mainly food items like yogurt, light beverages & many other food products that use this artificial sweetener. It impacts synapses in brain cells causing issue with memory & learning ability.

3] SUCRALOSE is another artificial sweetener. It is 600 times sweeter than natural sugar. It is in food items like baked goods, beverages, chewing gum, gelatins, and frozen dairy desserts that use this artificial sweetener.

But it can change your gut microbiome by lowering the number of good bacteria by half. This phenomenon is associated with gastrointestinal problems (bloating, gas, diarrhea, and nausea), skin irritations (rash, hives, redness, itching, and swelling), wheezing, cough, runny nose, chest pains, palpitations, anxiety, anger, moods swings, depression, and itchy eyes.

4] SACCHARIN belongs to a class of compounds known as sulfonamides, which can cause allergic reactions in some individuals. Reactions can include: Headaches. Breathing difficulties. For some people, it may raise blood sugar and insulin levels. It may also damage the bacterial environment in your gut.

5] NEOTAME is another artificial sweetener. It is in food items like chewing gum, carbonated soft drinks, tabletop sweeteners, frozen desserts, yogurt, baked goods, Preserved fruits, Salad dressings that use this artificial sweetener . It is 7,000–13,000 times as sweet as sugar.

The safety studies have found that long-term Neotame consumption is associated with low body weight and low body weight gain.

6] ADVANTAME is another artificial sweetener. It is in food items like baked goods, soft drinks and other non-alcoholic beverages, chewing gum, candies, frostings, frozen desserts, gelatins and puddings, jams and jellies, processed fruits and fruit juices, toppings and syrups that use this artificial sweetener. Ajinomoto has developed this artificial sweetener and flavor enhancer. It is reportedly 37,000 times sweeter than sugar. Research is ongoing to confirm or invalidate connections between these ailments and advantame, but currently there is still inconsistent outcomes in studies. There is a controversial claims about this artificial sweetener from both sides

These chemicals (artificial sweeteners) are even used in ‘No-Sugar’ health drinks & diet food items.

So be aware!

Either consume food without sugar or sweeteners Or use natural food products to sweeten your food preparations.

You can use honey, dates, dates paste, maple syrup, black raisins, figs and any sweet fruit or vegetable paste.

Important Note: Honey should not be cooked. Do not add honey in boiling hot food. Cooking or adding in boiling hot food will cause honey turn toxic.
