Homemade Paneer
Ingredients:
1/2 liter fresh milk
1 tablespoon vinegar/ 1 big lemon
Procedure:
1) In thick bottom vessel pour the milk.
2) Put it on flame and wait till it starts coming up in the vessel.
3) Add 1 tablespoon vinegar or 1 big lemon’s juice.
4) slow the flame and keep stirring the milk.
5) Once the paneer is formed and transparent yellowish whey is separated then turn off the flame.
6) now strain the paneer out.
Note: Whey (yellowish liquid) is very healthy so don’t throw it away. You can use it for cooking instead of water.
7) now spread the paneer evenly in plate or baking tray. Put some heavy load on the paneer for half an hour.
8) Once the firm slab is formed then cut it in pieces and use.Note: for few recipes you will not need cubed paneer so omit step 7 & 8.
