Immunity booster chutney

Immunity booster chutney

Ingredients

  • 2 Guava (Amrood)
  • 2 Gooseberry (Amla)
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 tsp. Mustard Seeds
  • 10-12 leaves Curry Leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Chana Dal (Bengal Gram)
  • 1 tablespoon Urad Dal (Black Gram)
  • 2-3 Dry Red Chilies
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • Salt as per taste

Instructions

  • Roast the guava, amla, and onion on a pan or over direct flame until slightly charred.
  • Let them cool, then peel off the charred skin and remove the seeds (seed removal optional for guava).
  • Heat the oil.
  • Add mustard seeds to oil and let them splutter.
  • Add curry leaves, chana dal, urad dal and dried red chilies.
  • ⁠Fry until the dals turn golden.
  • ⁠In a blender, combine the roasted and peeled guava, amla, and onion with the tempering mixture.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Blend into a smooth chutney (add a little water if needed to adjust the consistency).
  • Transfer the chutney to a bowl.
  • ⁠You can prepare some tempering again and add on top for garnish
  • ⁠Enjoy this flavorful and nutrient-packed chutney as a side dish with meals or as a dip!
